1st IPCAP-PACC Partnership Convention 2010

The Integrated Professional Counselors Association of the Philippines (IPCAP) will hold a Convention in partnership with the Philippine Association of Christian Counselors (PACC) on Sept. 16-18, 2010 with the theme, “Empowering Counselors to Reach-Out to Families”. We want to strengthen the know-how and skills of counselors as they reach-out and help families thrive with the different challenges they are facing today. We want to further: 1) empower counselors to continue their work with confidence and look out for opportunities to help families struggling with co-dependency & addiction issues, having a child with special needs, or adolescents who are at-risk; 2) help counselors incorporate the 6 Essential Ingredients of Healthy Parenting into their work; 3) provide counselors a framework of the healthy Filipino family, identify dysfunctional family dynamics, and how setting emotional boundaries can help each family member live and function better; 4) help counselors have a better understanding of emotions and family relational patterns and how these work out in everyday situations in the home.

The Convention will be held at the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries 102 Valero St., Salcedo Village, Makati.

There will be 7 workshops, 5 of which each participant is entitled to attend. IPCAP, a CPE Provider (Acc. # 2010-005) has applied with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for 21 credit units for CPE or Continuing Professional Education. Participation in the plenary session and workshops is open to non-RGC’s and others for personal enrichment purposes. CHED, DepEd endorsement letters are available on request.
