The Upcoming Board Exams for 2009

Let me share here a correspondence on the upcoming Board Exams.

I am presently working as a Guidance Counselor and I will be taking the licensure exam this August. I would like to ask if you could help me in my review since there is no available reviewer for this in the bookstore.Could you give me an idea about the test? and if you could give me some handouts to review. First of all, let me assure you I will be including you in my prayers on Aug. 27, a Thursday during our novena prayers here in St. Jude Archdiocesan Shrine, and my Mass the following day, Aug. 28, my father's 83rd birthday. I hope you will take the test without fear, knowing that you are ready for whatever this test will amount to.

Secondly, there are 6 subjects covered by the licensure exams. They include the following:
1. Theories and Techniques of Counseling,
2. Philosophical and Psychological Foundations of Guidance,
3. Career Guidance,
4. Organization Management and Supervision of Guidance Services,
5. Tests and Measurements, and
6. Group Process or Group Guidance

I bet you have taken all these subjects in your masters, Hence, just remember the core points in each area, and using your present work experience, and of course PRESENCE of MIND, you should be able to make it. I am myself reading into these subjects again, hoping to address the current needs. We'll work through this one by one.

Maybe you can raise specific questions which we can answer gradually so you go armed with something to boost your confidence.

And of course, if you want to pass the exams, take ALL the exams. I mean, there are two days for the exams. So, go and take the exams on these two days. If you only go the first day, NO MIRACLE other than corruption will make you pass. If you go both days, God's way should be very reliable, especially if you really ask for it.
